Skyler and his MBA

Common celebratory phrases like "Yay!", "He did it!", or "Congratulations!" just are to... well common to even begin to describe or celebrate this amazing accomplishment Skyler has achieved.

So I searched a thesauruses to make up for my lack in adequate vocabulary, and a few words seemed to ring more true:

Triumph
Victory
Noble
Jubilee
Honor
Distinction
Glory

I noticed most of these words can describe knightly battles,
but that is what Skyler is, -- a Warrior.

He fought for his MBA, and it's much much more than a "piece of paper".
 So much more.
I stand in awe of my husband everyday. I am amazed by the things he accomplishes just by his own sheer will. Nothing, absolutely nothing, holds him back.
Skyler moves mountains. I am proud of him.

As I sat in that giant room, surrounded and supported by our wonderful families, I felt the greatness of the event. My heart leapt as his name was called, and with wet eyes and a big smile I cheered for him as loudly as I could.

On the 12th of December, 2015
Skyler Christian Briggs
graduated from the University of Colorado
with His Master of Business Administration
with an emphasis in Change Management.

and it was Glorious!

Cheering On #25

Harry's personal fan section.

Harry's biggest fan!
Harry's littlest fan.

River making friends where ever he goes.
Look at those sweat marks! Smell was just as awesome! :)
We got to spend a sunny and warm saturday morning cheering on our favorite BYU Lacrosse Player, Harry Bird #25!

River was his biggest fan and Robin was his littlest.
"GO, my friend!!" - River

University of Denver hosted a lacrosse day where multiple teams played each other, including: University of Denver, Air force, Adams State, and Colorado College. We were so excited for Harry to come to Colorado and to get to watch him play!

I am so proud of him! It's awesome he's playing lacrosse at a collegiate level. Kinda a big deal. (I take credit for getting him interested in lacrosse, cause i played in high school. Otherwise he might be playing some lame sport like soccer ;) Oh I just made some family members mad....)

That's Harry on the front row, throwing some serious gang signs :)

A Visit from Grandpa Briggs

It was fun to have Grandpa Briggs out for a visit on his way to Bryce Canyon.
River always loves visitors and Charlie quickly welcomed grandpa to the pack.

When Grandpa first arrived River called him "guy",
but by the time he left River was calling him "grandpa".

Thanks so much for your help with our kitchen project, talk about progress!
Consider the chocolate covered cinnamon bears as payment, both bags. ;)

Nicki!!

We got to spend the week playing with our friend Nicki
(ok she's really more like a sister and we definitely claim her as part of the family!!)
who came out to visit and we had so much fun!

We ran around going out to all our favorite restaurants, exploring the butterfly pavilion, shopping for boots and jewelry, and lots of girl talk. Oh how I loved the girl talk!!

River was a little bit in love -- a beautiful girl to play with? Sweet!!
He'd cuddle up to her and play.
He cried on the way home from the airport, sobbing "Gone!"

I am so proud of Nicki! She is an amazing person and so so sweet!
She's also very talented, check out her one of a kind, handcrafted jewelry,
SilverWear, HERE
She gifted me the cutest Elephant necklace and I love it.

Thanks for the visit Nicki! We love you!!
You're amazing and never forget it!

When Nana Comes to Play

IT'S PARTY TIME!!

We all love it when Nana comes for a visit.
River, Skyler, Me and even Charlie.
ALL of US Love to see our Nana.

Here's a list of the fun things we did while she was here:

1. Tagawa Gardens

It was fun to wander around the green houses and feel like srping was already here. Plus we learned all about Fairy Gardens, pretty cute stuff.

2. Denver Zoo

River loved Riding on top of the Stroller and seeing the animals with Nana. We wore him out and he got too tired to see his favorite part, the aquariums. So Nana you'll have to come back!

the bears were particularly cute today.
"What? A preztel bigger than my head?" Awesome!" Thanks Nana for the yummy treat!

River's just to over come with joy to pose properly for a picture :)

3. Voodoo Donuts

Have you had these? YU.M.M.Y

When we were in Portland this was on my list of things to do, but it didn't work out. So i was super excited when my friend Rachel told me they opened one up in Denver. It was a must do while nana was here.

Nana's Favorites: Miami Vice Berry & the Oreo Donut
My Favorites: The Mango Tango & Bacon Maple Bar.
River boy's Favorites : DONUT!!

4. Park Meadow Mall

Oh how I have missed having a girl to go shopping with. I love shopping with my mom, she's so fun and we like all the same things. We have a good time!

We all get to be a little naughty when Nana's in town, cause it's special and she's just so nice. River gets to play with ipads and phones, drink big people drinks, and play with nana all day long. Charlie gets to eat all the people food Nana will sneak him when she thinks we're not looking, and even when she knows we are. And Skyler and I get to sluff off our responsibilities for a bit and enjoy being with Margo. It's so nice to have my Mom visit. She's so fun and so pleasant. We love having her.

Nana is more than wonderful, she's Nana
and we love her to death!!

Don't stay away too long Nana, we've already started another list of fun things to do when you come again. :) And Charlie is missing his english muffins with peanut butter
