Relief - 22 Week Ultrasound

We had our Big Ultrasound Today - for 22 wks, where they measure everything and check the baby's anatomy. I was a little uneasy about this ultrasound, because this was when River's pregnancy turned into an emergency situation and required swift action, so i was having some post-trauma anxiety. But We took care of that early on in this pregnancy and baby girl is sewn in there snug as a bug. And she is looking so good!

She literally wiggled and jiggled through the whole ultrasound, making it pretty rough for the tech to get the pictures she needed. The tech said "oh my, she sure is busy"literally 20 times. Skyler and I exchanged a look that read, "oh great another one". Baby Girl did not like to be squished, so she kicked and pushed back on the tech frequently. We only got one good 3D image because all the others were blurry because she wouldn't stop moving. (And I didn't anything super sugary beforehand I promise!!)

It was such a neat experience to sit in the dark room with Skyler and see our baby girl moving around on the screen. I think we both felt relief, and a sense of calmness (so relaxing that Sky almost fell asleep).
She's safe. I'm safe. And everything is good.

What a comfort!! And hopefully we can relax a little bit more
and enjoy this pregnancy thing the 2nd time around. :)
