An Easter Escape to Sunny Arizona

Over Easter we snuck away to Arizona to soak up some sun and visit our Family and Friends.

Is there anything better than picking a grapefruit right off the tree for breakfast?
Answer: Nope.

Saying Goodbye to Uncle David and Aunt Tracey

This was such a fun weekend escape. We hope to make it annual adventure. It will give us something to look forward to during Colorado's freezing winters.

We did some really Fun things while we were there. Here are some highlights (in no particular order):

Seriously best chicken on the planet, the corn bread is scrumptious and they serve Koolaid in Mason Jars. We went to the Scottsdale location twice on our trip. So So Yummy.

2. Casa Grande Ruins National Monument
Really neat to see, I couldn't believe how big it is. And there's a Sonic right outside the Monument, so plan it right for Happy hour and get 1/2 all fountain drinks and slushes ({I like Cherry Limeades and Sky likes Route 44 Strawberry Slush, i think, and River was rocking the formula that day} Makes a good adventure even better.

4. Spending time with My Uncle David & Aunt Tracey and all The AZ Miller Cousins
It's always so much fun to see our Family in Arizona. We love them so much and it's always a fun time! So thanks everyone, You know we love you!
Thanks Uncle David and Aunt Tracey for letting us come and stay with you. Yours is a beautiful home filled with peace, love, and laughter. We had the best time!

5. Meeting People from Skyler's Mission:  His Mission President, President & Sister Nieffenegger

And fellow missionary Derric Crandal (I'm so bummed I forgot to take a picture of them together)

President Nieffenegger kept a book that has testimonies from all the missionaries that served with him. He looked up Skyler's and had me read it. It was all I could do to hold back tears. I am so proud of Skyler and so touched by his powerful testimony. There are times when I step back and look at Skyler and I am always blown away by the person he has become. I thank God everyday that he is mine, and I often wonder how I ever managed to merit someone as wonderful as him.

6. My All time Favorite Moment from the trip was: on an Arizona Evening, swinging on the porch swing with my baby in my arms and my Baby's arm around me. It was a moment just for us, our little family, and I drunk it in, every bit.

So until next year Arizona, stay Sunny!
