16 months
I keep thinking to myself,
16 months . . . 16 months . . . 16 months
What happened to our Peter Pan Plan?
You grow and you grow; You learn and you learn
and time speeds by in all the excitement, but it's beautiful.
You are beautiful.
I marvel in the little wonder that you are and you amaze me every day.
I love to see the excitement in your face as you explore your ever expanding world.
Your smile and laugh gives me such joy, and your cry breaks my heart equally.
I look at you and I learn so much about the kind of person I want to be.
You have so much faith, so much trust, so much innocence, and so much Joy.
You are quick to forgive and quick to forget. You hold no malice, or grudges. You love.
I am learning so much about what it means to be a Child of God, and if I love you this much, how much greater is Heavenly Father's love for you, for me, for all his children.
Life is deeper and more purpose full.
You are such a sweet boy, we consider ourselves the luckiest parents.
You're developing such a funny personality, tempered with affection.
You're also Trouble!
Enough to keep us on our toes and enough to keep us laughing.
You love to eat, which is a good thing cause you're always on the go. Gotta Fuel!
You love goldfish, animal crackers, beans, anything cover with marinara sauce, and drinking root beer from a straw.
And The Cutest Thing EVER is you LOVE to Dip anything and everything.
Fries in Fry sauce
Chips in Salsa
Pancakes in syrup
Anything that can be dipped, you dip.
You're so careful about it (most of the time) and you feel so big doing it.
You love to Sing. First you began to sing with my as I rocked you at bedtime. Now you sing along to the tv, and the cutest is I'll hear you singing along with the radio in car. I love it!! Music is something that really resonates with you.
You play tirelessly with Books. Thumbing through the pages on your own, you look so sophisticated :) You often insist on taking a book with you into your crib for you morning nap.
You are definitely a blanket Boy.
You give wonderful kisses and loves (hugs).
You love other kids, and they love you right back.
They always seem to rub your head for some reason.
You've learned to walk and are tearring it up. You tool around the house all day long.
It's funny to watch Daddy mimic you're walk. I don't quite now how to describe it accurately, but just think about a T-rex carrying a sloshing bucket of water.
Don't worry it's cute!
You are a climber. You climb on everything. If I leave boxes out, they become stairs to the tops of tables, You've figured out how to climb from your book box, to the ottoman, then on to the couch. Just this afternoon I found you up on the kitchen Chairs about to get on the kitchen table.
I hope in life Son, that you will always be a climber.
Fearlessly reaching for the highest heights.
I've mentioned it before, but I'll say it again, You love your Daddy, and your Daddy loves you. I knew I married a good one, but the way he fathers you melts my heart. He loves you, thinks about you, and does his very best to give you that which is good.
He also loves to play with you.
You two watch Justice League every saturday morning together.
Follow your father, because he is a Good Man.
River, what more can I say than You are my Heart.
